Join us for an engaging artist talk featuring Hans Ragnar Mathisen and Lin, Pei-Han. The discussion will revolve around various examples of the artists’ exhibitions involving their collaboration with curators.
Hans Ragnar Mathisen received his education from the Norwegian National Academy of Craft and Art Industry’s painting program and the National Academy of Fine Arts, specializing in painting and printmaking. Mathisen has been featured in solo exhibitions, received commissions for decoration, and his works have been acquired by esteemed institutions, including the Nordic Council of Ministers and the Sami Cultural Council. His influence extends beyond exhibitions; he has organized festivals, exhibitions, and concerts, leaving a lasting impact on the art community. He was knighted and got a Honorary Doctorte at Uit in 2022 in his introduction of artist statement.
Lin, Pei-Han, is an interdisciplinary artist working with research-based art. Her projects delve into the intersections of politics, environmental justice, and human rights. Lin employs a unique approach, combining analog and digital data forensics, site-specific installations, and empathetic methodologies, including interview-based formats. She is a Hans Ragnar Mathisen’s assistant through Kulturrådet Kunstnarassistentordning.
