The Sami Centre for Contemporary Art (SDG) presents the exhibition Language and Identity — The Sami Pain by Ole Lislerud.
The exhibition Language and Identity — The Sami Pain is a commentary on the Norwegian states’ colonialism and structural racism towards the Sami people.
Exhibition opening is on the 26.11. at 18.00. The exhibition is in the period 26.11.2022 – 12.02.2023.
Ole Lislerud (born 1950 in South Africa) is professor emeritus from the Academy of Arts in Oslo. He has carried out over 70 decorations in the public space, e.g. the glass facade for NHO Næringslivets Hus at Majorstua, NATO head office in Stavanger, Oslo Courthouse and the University of Oslo with the project: God is Woman.
