In this exhibition, the use of wood as the main material in sculptures and objects is examined. This traditional use of material has a particular significance in Sápmi, both in art and duodji. The exhibition is part 1 in a series of 3 parts that looks at how Sami artists work with 3-dimensional art works such as objects, sculptures and installations. The exhibitions are based on art from the Sami Art stock. The exhibitions are shown in parallel with the exhibition with Aase Texmon Rygh and her modernist sculptures.
